Things may not be as simple as they used to be, but Nicole Richie and Paris Hilton may be ready to take another swing at reality TV.
Seventeen years after "The Simple Life," Richie and Hilton's iconic 2000s reality TV show, the two friends announced their return to a TV screen near you in a nostalgic teaser video on Instagram.
"New Era. Same Besties. 👯♀️ Coming soon to Peacock," Hilton captioned the video, in a post collaboration with the streamer. In it, Richie and Hilton can be heard singing their memorable "sanasa" bit.
On Wednesday, Richie posted a collage of photos of the long-time friends, from their childhood, teen years and young adulthood.
"From Day 1: Sill and Bill" Richie captioned the post. "Sanasaaaa 💖💖💖" Hilton commented.

"The Simple Life" ran for five seasons from 2003 to 2007 on Fox and later E! network. The series followed the childhood friends and socialites as they ventured to rural America and worked odd jobs, including as waitresses and farmers.
Though the pair have had public falling outs, they've remained close in recent years. Their lives have also changed significantly, as both are now married with children. Hilton is married to venture capitalist Carter Reum and the pair share two young children: London and Phoenix. Richie is married to Good Charlotte frontman Joel Madden, and they share two children: Sparrow and Harlow.
In November, Hilton told Andy Cohen on "Watch What Happens Live" that she and Richie had "surprises in store" in regards to the 20th anniversary of the show's premiere.
The duo have remained active in reality TV. Richie most recently starred in the Quibi reality series "Nikki Fre$h" in 2020 and Amazon Prime Video's "Making the Cut" from 2020 to 2022. Hilton hosted the short-lived Netflix cooking reality show "Cooking with Paris" in 2021 and has starred in "Paris in Love" on Peacock since 2021.
