Be careful of what you say about Cardi B.
The "WAP" rapper let it be known while addressing accusations that she cheated on husband Offset, who appeared to make the claims in a since-deleted Instagram Story published by Page Six on June 26.
"First of all let me say, you can't accuse me of all the things you know that you are guilty of," she sang in a Twitter Spaces conversation, referencing lines from "I Should Have Cheated" by Keyshia Cole. "And I see that it is easy for you to blame everything on me."
After praising the song's lyrics, Cardi set the record straight and explained why she couldn't have possibly cheated. "Come on now. I'm f--king Cardi B," the 30-year-old said. "I think sometimes motherf--kers forget I'm Cardi B. If I was giving this p---y to anybody, it would be out. I'm not just anybody."
Cardi continued, "Can't f--k no regular-degular-shmegular, 'cause they gonna tell the world. And I can't f--k anybody in the industry, 'cause they gonna tell too."
The Grammy winner then appeared to call out Offset, saying, "Stop acting stupid. Going crazy over a f--king space. Don't play with me."
She added, "Don't play, motherf--ker. Got me looking f--king crazy and s--t for no reason."
This is not the first time Cardi and Offset—who are parents to daughter Kulture, 4, and son Wave, 21 months—have been rocked by cheating rumors since secretly tying the knot in 2017.
Back in December 2018, the couple called it quits—with Offset confessing to his infedelity. "I was partaking in activity that I shouldn't have been partaking in, and I apologize," he said in an apology video to Cardi at the time, "for breaking your heart, for breaking our promise, for breaking God's promise and being a selfish, messed up husband."
The pair reconciled in early 2019, a decision that Cardi later defended as "real-life s--t."
"When me and my husband got into our issues—you know, he cheated and everything—and I decided to stay with him and work together with him, a lot of people were so mad at me; a lot of women felt disappointed in me," she recalled in Vogue's January 2020 issue. "If you love somebody and you stop being with them, and you're depressed and social media is telling you not to talk to that person because he cheated, you're not really happy on the inside until you have the conversation."
Brushing aside the online criticism, Cardi continued, "Everybody has issues. I believe in forgiveness. I prayed on it. Me and my husband, we prayed on it. We had priests come to us. And we just came to an understanding like, bro, it's really us against the world."
At the time, Cardi said she and Offset "have come to a clear understanding" of their relationship.
"For me, monogamy is the only way," she noted. "I'll beat your ass if you cheat on me."
