They made us laugh, they made us cry, they made us spend hours glued to our couch completely immobile. And now they're making it fashion.
As the stars of the small screen turned up at the Peacock Theater at L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles Sept. 15 to collect their well-deserved honors at the 2024 Emmy Awards, they dressed to impress in gowns both glittering and sleek plus head-turning power suits of all styles and shades. (Check out every glam arrival here.)
Set to host with his dad and Schitt's Creek producing partner Eugene Levy, four-time Emmy winner Dan Levy was simply the best in his take on a classic tux—the straight-off-the runway Loewe look featuring fitted black pants and a jacket and a white satin top with an eye-catching neckline.
Meanwhile Olympian-turned-Dancing With the Stars competitor Ilona Maher scored big in a navy velvet Oscar de la Renta gown with a strapless neckline and peplum skirt, joining a slew of other standouts in bold saturated hues. (Hello, Naomi Watts, Sofia Vergara and Anna Sawai!)
As for Abbot Elementary's Sheryl Lee Ralph, she had her stylist on speed dial, once again getting her sartorial guidance from daughter Ivy-Victoria Maurice.
"She continues to earn her stripes as a stylist, because we both know it is not easy in the fashion industry," gushed the star. "And this, in her third year, to be able to create the relationships that would garner me custom Versace and Cartier jewelry."
Of course, she wasn't the only star shining bright, with Jennifer Aniston, Kristen Wiig, Dakota Fanning and Catherine O'Hara leaning into sparkly metallics.
On the awards' front, returning series The Crown, The Bear, The Morning Show and Hacks earned the largest number of nominations for this year's ceremony, with nods for Jeremy Allen White, Ayo Edebiri, Jean Smart, Reese Witherspoon and Dominic West.
Breakout successes Shogun and Baby Reindeer were also recognized, along with limited series Ripley, which earned nods for its actors Andrew Scott and Fanning.
And then there were the nominees, presenters and show attendees who took their red carpet performance as seriously as their onscreen work.
While we have no actual trophies to distribute, we're still handing out honors to all of these best dressed stars at the 2024 Emmys.
